SIG Neuhausen P49, 9x19mm

The P49 is the Swiss military version of the legendary SIG P210, and it’s identical to the P210 except for the “A” prefix in the serial number. It was made to the same high standards as the commercial version, so the P49 is an extremely well made and accurate pistol. Arguably, it’s the finest and most accurate service gun ever made.

This P49 was manufactured in the late ‘50s, and is very nicely preserved. After completing their service, Swiss soldiers have the option to buy their service firearms, and the “P” stamp on the trigger guard shows that this P49 was such a purchase. The high condition is probably due to it being purchased and taken out of the military service very early.

It appears to have seen very little use, and the exterior wear is minimal. It is in mechanically perfect condition, with the typical glass smooth slide, crisp trigger pull and a mirror bright bore. The original holster is dated 1957 with a 1952 dated shoulder strap, and is in excellent condition. The holster also contains one spare magazine.

It’s not import marked, all original and numbers matching, so you’d be hard pressed to find a nicer P49 rig than this.
