Lee-Enfield L39A1, .308

The L39A1 is the ultimate version of the Lee-Enfield rifles. It is technically identical to the L42A1 sniper rifle, but with open sights instead of a scope.

It is based on the No. 4 Mk1, and heavily modified for use in military shooting matches. The barrel is hammer forged, and free floated in a shortened stock. According to some sources, the L39A1 was delivered with a standard .303 magazine that only served as a platform for loading single rounds. However, the L39 parts list specifies magazine CR141A, which is the .308 magazine used in the L42A1. This rifle is equipped with the L42A1 magazine, which makes it possible to use it as a repeating rifle. The target sights are of the correct type and were installed by the shooting team’s armorers, although the L39 parts list specifies which sights to use.

This L39A1 is in excellent condition and 100% original, and as an extra bonus it’s not import marked. These rifles don’t come up for sale very often, so here’s your chance to add one of the rarest Lee-Enfield variations to your collection.
