Astra 600/43, 9x19mm, Portuguese Navy issue.

The 600/43 was a development of the Astra 400, ordered by the Germans during WWII. Most were never delivered to the Germans, so they were re-sold by Astra after the war. As evident by the “MRP” stamp on the slide, this one went to the Portuguese Navy. This is an extremely rare variation, with only 800 pistols delivered to the Portuguese Navy in 1951.

This pistol is in excellent condition with a clean and “minty” appearance. The original bluing is very strong, all parts “in the white” are still clean without the darkening you normally see and the grip screws still show a deep flame blue color. As icing on the cake, it is not import marked. If you have been looking for this rare Astra variation, this one is probably as nice as you will ever find one!
