CZ27, WaA proofed with Norwegian police marking
$650.00
After the German occupation force in Norway surrendered in 1945, the Norwegians captured their equipment and weapons. A large amount of this was scrapped out, but many firearms were retained to be used by the Norwegian military. Around 1950, it was decided to transfer a quantity of miscellaneous 7.65 mm pistols to the Norwegian police. These were property marked by milling a small section of the slides and applying the word “POLITI” (“POLICE” in Norwegian), the Norwegian crest and a unique property number. A property number was also applied to the frame. Among these pistols there were about 1,000 CZ27’s, and this is one of them.
It’s an early example with the commercial, high polish finish and WaA76 inspection stamp. The bluing has some damage mainly to the let side, but the bore is bright and the action is in perfect working order. The magazine is unmarked and factory original. We are not sure about the origin of the holster, but it appears to be German issue with defaced Nazi markings on the back.
A scarce pistol with a really interesting history!
