Swedish Mauser M/96, 6.5×55 mm

The Swedish Mauser rifles are renowned for their high quality and accuracy, and they are unusually nicely fitted and finished for being a military weapon. Due to their exceptional accuracy with the flat shooting 6.5×55 mm round, they have always been very popular for for both target shooting and hunting.

This one was made by Carl Gustafs Stads Gevarsfaktori in 1919, and is in very good condition. It’s all matching including the cleaning rod, and the firing pin appears to be an unnumbered arsenal part. The sight is the scarce micrometer type, made by Metallverken. The bore is clean and bright, and the stock disc shows that it has been arsenal gauged as perfect. Includes the original issue leather sling.
