Daewoo K2, 5.56mm/.223

The K2 is the South Korean main issue battle rifle, based on the M-16 design. It was imported as a semi-auto version, but could never compete with the US made AR-15 so the numbers were very limited. It was eventually banned from importation in 1989. This makes the K2 one of the rarest battle rifles on the market.

Many of these were marked Max II or AR-100 in order to appeal to US buyers, but the very first ones to enter the US were still marked with the original, Korean K2 designation. K2 marked rifles like this one are the most collectible, and they don’t come up for sale very often in this condition. This gun is for those who collect unusual guns and appreciate the rarity of it.
