These screws are made for collectors that want an authentic reproduction and not just a cheap replacement. They have been reverse engineered to work like original screws, but we have also gone the extra mile to make them look like original screws. The heads have been cut with a custom made form tool to give them that slightly uneven “late war” look, and they’re finished with proper hot caustic bluing (not the cheaper black oxide). The finish is easy to distress to blend in on worn guns, just scuff the heads lightly with 1000 grit paper and buff with steel wool for an authentic, “battle worn” look.

Also note that these screws (just like the originals) are not hardened, they are made from annealed tool steel to minimize the risk of damaging the fragile thread in the grip frame.
