Scarce Walther PP, “R.J.'” marked – SOLD

$2,100.00

Scarce “R.J.” marked Walther PP, .32 cal.

The “R.J.” marking is somewhat of an enigma, and it has been attributed to the Reichs Ministry of Justice and the Interior Ministry. These guns were allegedly issued to courts, judges, guards etc. and they are one of the most desirable variations of the Walther PP.

This one was made in 1938 and it is in absolutely beautiful condition. The grips are of the correct weighted type, and the gun comes with one factory correct magazine. The deep, highly polished factory bluing is in outstanding condition with only some very minor muzzle wear, and it doesn’t have any of the hazing and swirls you normally see on guns that have been used and cleaned on a regular basis. The bore is mint and the magazine follower and the feed ramp both look like they had never had a bullet sliding over them. The whole gun has a clean, crisp look that shows that it has seen very limited use, if any. The pictures don’t really do it justice, this gun has to be seen in person to be fully appreciated.

If you’re looking for this variation, this is probably one of the very best ones you will find. SOLD
